Facial Recognition Door Access & Visitor Management

Singapore Red Cross Society

Project Objectives

Propose and design an automated door access + facial recognition for residents, time attendance system for employees and automated registration system for visitors.

The Challenge

Red Cross Home for the Disabled is a residential home for those with multiple disabilities. With a team of dedicated nursing professionals, therapy and healthcare aides, physiotherapists as well as occupational and speech therapists, they provide quality care to those who are unable to care for themselves due to their unfortunate disabilities.

The challenge of this project is to ensure the residents' safety while allowing them to independently access in and out of the home, especially for residents who are wheelchair-bound. And also to reduce staff workload by implementing a time attendance system and automated visitor system.

Our Solution

Syspro successfully designed and proposed an automated access system based on facial recognition, which will allow residents to  navigate around the home safely and independently. With this improvement, staff now find themselves being more able to focus on their designated duties. The implementation of visitor management kiosk also allows visitors to perform hassle-free self-registration when visiting, thereby reducing staff workload and minimizing waiting time.

The Outcome

With the automated access system, time attendance and visitor registration kiosk in place, residents' safety and accessibility has been greatly increased, and staff workload has been significantly reduced, thereby enhancing the level of quality care for the residents.
